The action-packed spy film “Haywire” hits theaters on Friday, and it marks the film debut for its gorgeous leading lady Gina Carano! You may have already heard that Gina is a professional fighter, but here are 10 things you didn’t know about the newly minted film star.

Even a fighter needs more training – In order to prepare to take on the role of a spy, Gina underwent extensive special-ops training that included two months of boot camp in a warehouse in downtown L.A. There was some talent in Pittsburgh on last night's episode of "American Idol" -- where Jennifer Lopez already found one singer she thinks "could win."
J.Lo's praise went to 24-year-old Hallie Day, who revealed in her audition interview that she once was so depressed she swallowed a "bottle of pills" and landed in the E.R.
She has since cleaned up her act with the help of her husband, Ryan -- who persuaded her to audition for the show.
Emotional story aside, Day had some serious talent too, impressing the judges with an amazing version of "I Will Survive."
After the auditions were done for the day, Lopez told Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler "She could win."
Also standing out last night was 15-year-old Eben Franckewitz ... who looked like a younger Justin Bieber.
Lopez said he was "cute" before he even sang and added more praise after, telling him "some people just born with it ... I think you're one of those people." He's going to Hollywood!

President Obama Sings Al Green's "Let's Stay Together"
NEW YORK -- President Barack Obama took a brief and unexpected turn as an R&B vocalist at a New York fundraiser, crooning a bar from an Al Greenclassic and then joking he hadn't been ushered off-stage.
It happened at Manhattan's Apollo Theater late Thursday, when Obama stepped to the podium and veered from prepared remarks to thank Green for warming up the crowd.
Apparently not content with simply praising Green, Obama suddenly launched into "Let's Stay Together," warbling "I, so in love with you" — complete with vibrato.
He stopped to laughter and applause, and remarked that his staff didn't believe he'd do it.
Then he noted that the Sandman hadn't come out — a reference to Sandman Sims, the tap dancer who chased unpopular acts off-stage at the Apollo for decades.
Nick Cannon’s Kidney Failure Brought Him Closer to Mariah Carey
Proving that kidney failure ‘aint all that bad, Nick Cannon says the whole ordeal has brought him closer to his wife Mariah Carey.

“They thought it was kidney stones, then a kidney infection. They found out my kidneys were not functioning well. So we said, ‘mild kidney failure,’” says Nick Cannon.
Cannon is now home and feeling much better but says he better stop working so hard. He’s a DJ, a music producer, a director, the host of “America’s Got Talent” and also has his recurring role on “Up All Night.” So yeah, to say he’s busy is an understatement.
“Because of this situation, I know that I don’t need to go so hard. It’s more about just my way of living…it’s really about taking some time,” he admits.
Lindsay Lohan Sued By Delusional Ex-Marine Who Claims She’s a Prostitute

Insanity doesn’t take a break in the world of Lindsay. Right as she was getting a thumbs up from the judge at her probation hearing, Lohan was being served with a lawsuit from a delusional man who claims the actress is a prostitute.
TMZ obtained a copy of the lawsuit filed by Thomas A. Green, calling it “12 pages of incomplete, incoherent gibberish.”
According to TMZ, Green alleges that Lohan communicated with him via Facebook and made him believe she would help him with a dot-com business he wanted to start.
It sounds relatively normal, but it quickly takes a sharp turn toward crazytown. Green says he feels he was duped by Lindsay, and when he kept asking her about her promise, he uncovered a conspiracy about the killing of Osama Bin Laden.
The suit reads: "[Thomas] set out to command [Lohan] to twitter and stated if [Lohan] acknowledges this is an Osoma Bin Ladden op all civilians in past wrong doing will receive clemency."
If you can translate crazy (and I can) this basically reads that Thomas told Lindsay if she Tweets with the hash tag #BinLadenConspiracy, he'd get her the role in that Gotti movie.
He also randomly adds “[Lohan] might be a high end prostiute.”
Okay, if this suit contained anything resembling “my mom makes 25k a year working from home,” I would say it’s starting to sound like our comments section.
Green says he’s a former U.S. Marine who spent time in a homeless shelter due to “depreciated stage of delusion and hallucinations.”
Long story short, he’s suing Lindsay for $300,000, citing unfair business practices.

Bruno Mars was arrested in Las Vegas in September 2010 when he was found doing coke in one of the stalls of the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. Did he not have his own suite? Also, drugs are bad, kids.
Anyways, Bruno pled guilty to the charge but would not be convicted if he completed 200 hours of community service and attend drug education classes.
Now, TMZ is reporting that he has logged more than 230 hours of community service at some children’s charities and some health-related charities. He’s also completed all his classes.
Tomorrow, the judge will dismiss the cocaine charge and Bruno will go back to having a spotless criminal record. Cue the song, “Just The Way You Are” as he waltzes out of the courthouse scot-free.

Report: Heather Locklear's Family Wants Her In Rehab
After making a cocktail of prescription drugs and booze and being hospitalized, Heather Locklear’s family is urging her to get professional help.
Sources tell People that friends and family of Locklear are hoping she’ll go to rehab.
“She's weighing her options right now," says one source. "Her family is all over her with concern, and that's a hard thing to hear."
I mean, she probably should’ve seen that coming when they were, you know, pumping her stomach and all.
According another source, her struggles with alcohol "go back a long time" but "she was able to handle it and be in social situations and just fine."
But the source says that ever since she turned 50 and ended her engagement to Jack Wagner, Heather has been increasingly insecure. And we all know how our old pal Jack Daniels is so good at making us feel better. Well, in some of our cases, it’s our old friend Jim Beam. Or Evan Williams.
On January 12, Locklear’s sister called 911 to report “intense stomach pain” and “severe distress.”
Locklear was then taken to Los Robles Hospital, where she was placed in the intensive care unit before being released the next day.
If Heather decides to go to rehab, it won’t be her first stay. She spent four weeks in rehab back in June 2008, battling her anxiety and depression. A few months after that, Locklear was arrested with suspicion of driving under the influence of prescription drugs.
Regis Philbin Sells His Connecticut Estate For Half Price

Regis Philbin just unloaded his Connecticut home for about half of what he was originally asking for it. So who bought it? Andy Cohen? Rob Lowe? Mark Consuelos?
Nope, it’s Raymond LaChance. A regular dude who told The Greenwich Times that while Regis Philbin being the former owner is “kind of neat,” it didn’t influence his decision to purchase the home.
Anyway, Philbin originally listed the 4 bedroom, 6.5 bath property in 2008 for $5.8 million. And after no one wanted it, Reg kept dropping the price until he finally sold it for $3 million.
At 5,919 square feet, the home is located in a quiet cul-de-sac in the town of Greenwich. It’s surrounded by trees and greenery, and sits on six acres near a state park. It basically is a state park. The new owner can enjoy grandiose high ceilings, an opulent spiral staircase, relaxing outdoor pool and gazebo, as well as a sweet-ass patio. Sorry, I ran out of adjectives.
Philbin, 79 and his wife, Joy have another house in Greenwich, along with their Manhattan home, which is where the couple spends most of their time.
Regis’ other Greenwich home is less than six miles away, so it looks like Raymond LaChance kind of has a celebrity neighbor! Less than an hour’s drive from Manhattan, the Connecticut town of Greenwich has attracted a slew of celebrities, including David Letterman.

Beyonce's First Interview Since Giving Birth: I Had an 'Instant Connection'
After giving birth to the most talked-about baby of the year, Beyonce has given her first interview as a new mom.
Beyonce told Star Magazine: “Nothing can describe the feeling. You have the instant connection once you know your child is growing inside you. But when you hold it for the first time, the words can’t be found.”
Mostly because you’re still recovering from the epidural and mind-numbing soreness.
Beyonce also said husband Jay-Z was in the room during the birth.
“He would not have missed it for anything,” Beyonce confirmed. “He is a very protective and loyal guy by nature. He is a very protective husband, and since we found out I was pregnant I have seen the protective father in him.”
And another word Beyonce uses to describe her husband is “inspirational.”
“He is not only an inspirational artist, he is an inspirational husband. I know the next step on this journey is going to be being an inspirational father.”
Yeah, yeah he’s really protective and inspirational and all that. But let’s not forget the single most important and admirable quality in a man:
“He will change diapers.”

Heather Locklear Fought Violently With Ex Before Hospitalization
Starting to sound more and more like a scene from 'Teen Mom' as the details unfold—uh, I mean, I don’t watch that show ever—it's now being reported that Heather Locklear had a huge, violent fight with her ex just days before her hospitalization.
Locklear was formerly engaged to Jack Wagner, and you'd think they were made for each other since she got her start on Melrose Place and his name sounds like it was straight up taken from a soap opera, but no, things didn’t work out.
The two split in November and on January 12th Jack Wagner drove to Heather's home in Sherman Oaks, California to get some of his crap. According to Star magazine, a violent fight then erupted.
"A huge argument erupted as they insulted each other's families," a source told Star.
"As Heather went to her car, Jack lunged at her, trying to grab or push her."
See what I mean? Teen Mom. Or Jersey Shore.
"Her reaction was to swing," the source continued. "She caught Jack with a right hook across his face, knocking him to the ground."
I believe I speak for everyone when I say…nice! I mean, the woman can't be more than 120 lbs, so that's a pretty good shot. According to the source, Wagner then put his hands around Heather, slamming her into the car while he ran into the house.
I think this exact scene once played out with some characters I created in The Sims.
The police shortly arrived and found a gash across Wagner's face, apparently realizing it was caused in self-defense.
"Heather didn’t want to press charges, so she left."
Press charges?! She kicked his ass!
The couple called off their engagement in November after being together since 2007. Since then Heather has been using "doctor-prescribed pills" to manage her anxiety, having an "occasional drink to calm her nerves."

Detail number one: there will be lap dancing. Lots and lots of lap dancing.
Jason Trawick popped the question to Britney Spears just before Christmas, kicking off that whole slew of celebrity holiday engagements. And now, we have some details on the impending wedding.
"It's going to be a very intimate wedding with only immediate family and very, very close friends," a source told RadarOnline.com. "It will probably be a destination wedding in a very warm, tropical location."
And apparently, Britney wants everything to be as simple as possible. The source continued:

Madonna Reveals Her Key To a Successful Relationship
Yeah, yeah, I know what you're thinking. 'Madonna has been divorced twice and she hates hydrangeas and she has a fake British accent and she got on my nerves during that Golden Globes speech.'
But let's hear her out.
The singer, who is currently dating 24 year-old dancer Brahim Zaibat, says she thinks they key to relationships is give and take.
"I think with all relationships you are going to have to give up something," Madonna said. "It is a juggling act, it's about compromising."

So basically, Sean Penn taught Madonna how to get ready for work in the morning. An important lesson, I suppose, but let's hope she learned something more significant from Guy Ritchie:

Kim Kardashian's marriage is finally starting to crumble on her reality show -- and last night, she broke down as she started to question whether marrying Kris Humphries was the right thing to do.

During his opening monologue, host Ricky Gervais joked "The Golden Globes are to the Oscars what Kim Kardashian is to Kate Middleton ... A bit trashier, a bit drunker and more easily bought."
